Service Description

Songbirds is a joyful, nature-inspired literacy class where language comes to life through stories, songs, movement, and play. Just as young birds learn their songs by listening and practicing, our little Songbirds will strengthen the foundational skills needed for confident reading in a playful, hands-on environment. Together, we’ll explore: Phonological Awareness: Rhyming, syllables, listening games, beginning sounds, and playful word exploration. Early Phonics: Letter-sound connections, alphabet knowledge, sound blending, and other foundational reading skills. A Love of Stories: Rich picture books, storytelling, nursery rhymes, and songs that nurture imagination and language. Language Through Play: Nature walks, sensory activities, movement, games, and simple crafts that reinforce literacy in meaningful ways. Growing Together: Building confidence, taking turns, working cooperatively, and developing friendships through shared experiences. Rather than worksheets and drills, Songbirds invites children to discover the joy of language through curiosity, connection, and the natural world—helping them build strong roots for reading while leaving plenty of room for wonder.
